Her father gets out of prison when she’s sixteen and is training for the Olympics. In fact, Bo Shields got out of prison when she was nine and started boxing after her release..
But runners, gymnasts, and swimmers can easily do it
T-Rex (2015) version. Honestly, I’m ashamed that I’ve never heard of Claressa Shields. How can she win two in a row and not become a household name?
Maybe I’m completely ignorant about multiple games
It just goes to show that women have a long way to go, because I’m sure it would be different if it were a man. Again, I can’t tell you about one successful Olympic boxer. Regardless, this movie pointed to a real problem.
It’s only halfway there
As far as sports movies go, this one is interesting because it’s not a prequel to her winning the gold. It’s about the fight that happened after Clare became world champion. It was sad and scandalous.
My first screen was a wonderful surprise
I loved this movie so much, it’s worth your time and beautifully made. The acting by Ryan Destiny and Brian Henry is fantastic! This is an AMC Screen Unseen on December 16th.
