This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities building props and sets for the series
In the timeless city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny. One Hundred Years of Isolation 🌿Story: Based on the famous novel of the same name by Gabriel García Márquez, the series revolves around “José Arcadio Buendia” and “Ursula Iguaran,” the two relatives who leave their village in search of a new home after marrying against their parents’ wishes.
From the very first episode, it was clear that I was embarking on an impressive work that actually exceeded my expectations
Accompanied by friends and adventurers, their journey culminates in the founding of a virtuous city on the banks of a river made of prehistoric stones called Macondo. Many generations of the Buendia dynasty will determine the future of this legendary city, tormented by madness, impossible love, absurd bloody war and the fear of a terrible curse that will rule it in isolation for a hundred years without hope.
And each episode made me eagerly await the next one
The sequence of events is amazing, orderly and calm, and its clarity in every detail and partiality gave me a beautiful feeling. Everything is perfect, the performances, the sound and the atmosphere are coherent and wonderful.
